Spidery man - Balloon Request

Here at Oliver's Birthday Party and he really likes Spidery Man. It only took me about 3 mins to sculpt one for him.

At the Magic Show, I also debuted the Latest Improved Magic Comedy Box - a premium magic prop made by a magic manufacturer - only 12 were made! (I own two of them! Yippee!) (Yes, very expensive - USD $100++ each!)

It allows colored handkerchief to fly in (and out!) - handkerchiefs fall though the box, etc. Extremely funny for kidshows for children aged 3 to 6 years.

If you wish to have the routine for your child's party, simply inform me!

One white silk flew out of the box!

Look at the height it achieved!
Love the box!

I Like Kids! (Yummy with a little mustard on top!)

I really like kids - That's why I'm a children's entertainer! -

You'll know it when kids really like you - I treasure these moments:

1. They tell you their secrets ("I want to be a pirate when I grow up!" - Ryan, 5 years.) (Thanks to the hyped-up fantasy of the suave and swashbuckling pirate)

2. Rant about their daily life ("Mommy said if I cannot finish the bread, I can leave it in the lunchbox." - Krystal, 4 years.)

3. Share their PSP console with you. ("I show you how to play!" - Charlie, 5 years, PSP expert.)

4. Bring a slice of their birthday cake to you ("For you, Captain Dazzle!" - Many kids)

It's really rewarding performing for children. I wish I can do this all my life.

Junior Angels Club - Thomson Medical Centre

My Second Appearance here at Thomson Medical Centre!

The boy in the yellow shirt is Ko-wen - who also caught my
Giant Balloon Show at Suntec City yesterday - Lucky Boy!

Even the little ones like the Show!

Performed the X'mas Magic Show for the Junior Angels Club of the Thomson Medical Centre.

The response from the children was very good, especially when the drawn-on Santa Claus on the white board comes alive and speaks to the children!

Piglet - Balloon sculpture request

Was at my usual favorite Sunday Show at Barnacles Restaurant on Sunday that I met a girl who requested for Piglet - ("A Hamlet is a little pig!")

There were A LOT of children at Barnacles - but I was able to sculpt one swiftly. The actual one I do for birthday parties special request is the one as below.

The design uses advanced balloon techniques which is seldom practiced or utilized due to its difficulty.

Giant Balloon Show at Suntec City (Boxing Day)

Great reaction from the close-up magic!

Spongebob trying to copy Captain Dazzle's actions!

Signed Playing Card appears inside my zipped wallet!

Child volunteer on stage does the flower-stick juggling!

Halfway into the giant balloon!

Captain Dazzle does it again! The crowd goes wild!

Some pics we took at Suntec City "Happy Kids" - Outside Toys 'r' us. To warm up the crowd, I did some interactive close-up magic - which garnered a lot of attention.

The Comedy Juggling and Giant Balloon Act is one of the most expensive acts that I perform - it's actually life-threatening if not performed correctly.

As I always say during the show to the children (and to the adults!), I am a trained professional so please DO NOT try any of the stunts at home. It's extremely dangerous.

You can view more information on the Giant Balloon Show at my page: http://stardazzleconcepts.com/profile.html

Close up Magic for Parties (9 - 12 years)

I offer special close-up magic entertainment packages for children aged 9 - 12 years. It's usually popular among the boys or children who likes magic or wish to learn some magic tricks.

You can view some details of the package at http://stardazzleconcepts.com/birthdays.html

It's called package 5. You can see from the pics how absorbed the children are!

To my knowledge, I'm the ONLY magician in Singapore who offers this package as entertainment at a birthday party.

The children get to bring back all the magic props given to them during the workshop.

The mini-magic workshop teaches tricks that are strong in effect, yet easy to learn and are based on clever principles rather than difficult sleight-of-hand skills.

This way, they are able to perform the tricks for the parents/siblings/friends almost immediately when they get home!

The close-up show is also FANTASTIC - not to reveal too much - but here are some of the effects that I perform:

  • Signed Coin Penetrates Coke Bottle!
  • Magical Transfer of "carbonation gas" from a shaken soda can to an untouched soda can! (As seen on TV)
  • Signed playing card vanishes from the deck and appears inside my zipped wallet!
Best of all, everything is perform in front of everyone and everything can be examined.

I have customers who were so impressed with the Close-up show that they book me 1 year in advance!

Santa Claus and I on X'mas Day

Santa Claus (yes, I "made him up" literally) and I spent X'mas Day together serving private parties and hotels.

We are serving Shangri-la Rasa Sentosa and Conrad Centennial Singapore Hotel this Christmas.

Pictured here is me at Rasa Sentosa - on the way to the restaurant Barnacles - I serve Barnacles every Sunday from 1pm to 2:30pm too.

Come and dine here - the food's fantastic and the view and the staff is superb!

Juggling at Carosel (Royal Plaza Hotel)

Mingling Juggling at Carosel Restaurant at Royal Plaza at Scotts! I love the decorations here - there are rein-deers dressed in circus apparels and performing traditional circus acts!

I love the circus! (Duh, that's why I juggle and clown!)

It takes a lot of skill to juggle inside a restaurant - My LED lighted juggling props looks fantastic!

For Juggling Fanatics: I am pictured with my prized PX3 'Vegas' Clubs (Latest version - Colored Caps and Bottoms) - Love them -highly recommended! (Yes, they are expensive!)

Woodsvale Condo X'mas Party - Close-up Magic

Wonderful event! Many people were impressed and requested for name cards from myself and my balloon sculpturing artist.

The prizes of the lucky draw was fantastic - top prize was a Samung LCD TV worth over $2200.00!

I also performed some close-up magic which drew a lot of gasps and applause - including an effect whereby the images on the "back" of a chosen and signed card transformed itself.

You can see the pics below.

Many children who admired me, also insisted that I autograph the unique Captain Dazzle sticker that I gave them. I'll post pics of the sticker next time!

Singapore Tourism Board - Orchard Rd

I performed Juggling and Magic at the Singapore Visitor Center at Orchard Road as part of the Christmas Celebrations by the Singapore Tourism Board. I thoroughly enjoyed performing for all the shows.

My dream was (and still is) to perform street-style shows all over the world at Street Performer Festivals. These are big in some parts of the States and Western Europe.

Singapore Cricket Club - X'mas Magic and Juggling Show

We have done a series of Captain Dazzle's X'mas Magic and Juggling Show during this holiday season at several locations, including at Orchard Road, Sentosa and the French Ambassador's Residence.

The picture shows me at the Singapore Cricket Club - Children's X'mas Party -The Show was a big hit with the children!

The show features Appearing Snow, Red/White Striped Juggling Balls, Candy cane streamers, super-funny tricks featuring pictures of Santa Claus, Rudolph, Frosty, X'mas Tree, etc. This special show features top-range beautiful magic props. (read: expensive!)

Balloon sculpture - Skeleton - Request

Axel here wanted me to make a Skeleton balloon sculpture. I had recently purchased the Skull face balloon (Qualatex) and was able to put it to good use.

I came up with the design right on the spot. Not too bad!

I also purchased the Qualatex Alien Face - I found them to be pretty useful. It's not for everyone though - I enjoy using the best props/best supplies available on the planet to entertain. The price of each special balloon is about 40 cents. (SGD)

Axel most certainly enjoyed it - Once the Skeleton Man was completed, he rushed off to show it to his mum and dad. I had to run back to him to get this picture!

X'mas Balloon Sculptures

These Special X'mas Balloon sculptures are only given out during my Special X'mas Magic Show at Orchard Road, at the Singapore Visitor Centre.

If you are having a X'mas event and wish to have these special balloons made, simply contact me!

I'll be performing on the 18th, 19th and 20th of Dec 2009 at 6:30pm and 8pm. Hope to see you there! I'm making snow confetti appear during the show!

Bubbles the Magic Clown Vs Fluffy the Rabbit at Alcatel-Lucent

As usual, I had to vie for attention from the children against my own pet bunny, Fluffy. She was so popular with the children. You can see that from the picture.

No one was interested in me once Fluffy magically appeared...Until I started sculpting ballooons...hah hah!

My wife told me she has seen Fluffy secretly training to snatch the children's attention from me...doing backflips and front sommersaults...until then, I guess I had better pick up more skills!

(By the way, there are actually 3 "Fluffys" in my house. They all look similar because they are all sisters! Yes, they all make appearances in my shows!)

Snakes Alive! Mr. Snake Charmer Show!

We organised the Southhaven Condo residents X'mas party last Sunday and I hired Mr Snake Charmer. He was a hit! The residents (and myself!) enjoyed the educational and entertaining show. They were also invited to take pictures with him after the show.

I'm holding on to the rare albino python. Yes, the skin feels like a lady's handbag!

He also brought a special 2-headed snake from India (!) and also a KING cobra that's over 11 feet long (wow!). If you wish to hire him for you private/social/community events, simply contact me!

Captain Dazzle's New X'mas Red/White Costume

After wearing my red/white blazer coat for my Christmas related events for the past 3 years, it was finally time to change to a 'cooler' vest/shirt combination!

I like 'short-sleeved' blazer coats - I believe I am one of the very few entertainers in Singapore to wear them - got the inspiration from an American magician who had to 'roll up his sleeves' all the time to show that they are not hiding any cards/devices/rabbits (!) inside the sleeves.

Well, he got fed up with sleeves and decided to cut them off.

I like the vest and shirt combination too - I started 8 years ago with that! I still have my very first vest as a memento!

A Customer blogged on Captain Dazzle!

Met a customer at Fidgets (Children's indoor playground at Turf City) who took a picture and posted a blog entry on her own blog!

http://www.cottontimer.com/category/singapore/

Check it out! (Thanks, Hsien!)

For those interested in having Cartoon Balloon Sculptures (over 40 designs and growing) being sculpted on the spot by me, we do provide that service. You can contact me via my HP or email. http://stardazzleconcepts.com/profile.html

For my birthday party customers, you can simply put forth your request and I'll bring over a completed cartoon balloon sculpture for the birthday child. (Popular choices: Spidey-man, Mermaid Princess, Power Ranger, Elmo)
